ABOUT SYLVESTER ALFONSO

Graduated from Full Sail University in the fall of 2014 I decided to take the leap and move to Atlanta. After chasing any opportunity to find work within the film industry I came across  a job offer from Norwegian Cruise Lines to be part of their Broadcast Technician team. It wasn't the exact job I was looking for but I would be gaining experience and seeing new places i've yet to explore. So with that I spent the next six months traveling through Bermuda, the Caribbean, and the Bahamas filming live events around the ship and exploring but a small protion of what the world has to offer. I honed my editing skills with FCP X editing the live events that I filmed as well as a few extra projects I managed to pick up on the side. Even though I wished it was AVID, I was able to improve my editing with creatvity with what was available. 

The six month contract with NCL ended and so the hunt was on to find work that would be more suitable towards my degree. I was an intern as a videographer at the Strongbox West offices. With my off time I would spend it volunteering with building a studio in the Lawrencville, GA area by the name of Devil Cat Studios. I'm now looking to find more opportunites within my field as well as trying to create oportunites for myself. If this story is to tell you anything about me, it should be that I am more than willing to relocate from anywhere if it means the opportunity is elsewhere and work hard to give a quality product.
